There is compelling historical evidence that over two thousand years ago, a man named Jesus claimed to be God. Unlike other men who claimed to be God, his life was so impeccable that he actually got the people closest to him to believe him. More than 500 of his followers apparently saw him risen after he was executed publicly. They were so transformed by this event that many died willingly in the face of persecution rather than denying their belief in the resurrection.
Because of this, I believe that the magnitude of Jesus’s claims warrant further investigation. I for one, have examined the evidence and found Christ and his teachings to be “intellectually credible and existentially satisfying.”(1)
