We ended up deciding to sleep in the car last night and were able to sleep much more comfortably. I used four layers of fleece blankets and Brett used a new sleeping bag he picked up in Pahrump yesterday. We both stayed pretty warm and slept well.
Today Brett needed to work on the book launch some more so I offered to do the daily laundry. It was a lot of work but I did it without any problems. It was amazing to realize that I could wring out all those clothes and experience no negative health repercussions.
Prior to starting extreme mold avoidance, this kind of exertion would have taken a lot out of me. I often had to go lay down for several hours even after relatively mild activity. It would have taken me anywhere from two days to two weeks to fully recover from a more intense activity like washing a load of clothes by hand.
Instead of laying down, however, I took a shower, worked on my writing and chatted with Brett. This is such powerful evidence that mold avoidance is working!
Yes, it’s an insanely difficult life and yes, my sensitivity is shooting through the roof as I go through intensification… But when I’m out in the desert breathing the pristine air, I feel better than I have in years. It’s truly remarkable!
I send out a weekly digest with updates about our adventures. To receive these updates click here.
