Well, I’m back to doing laundry all day! Our wonderful new hosts are letting us use their power and water which makes things a lot easier. The spout is pretty far from our parking spot though! I’m having to be creative and fill the laundry tubs little by little.
The power outlet is even further so I’m walking a lot which is good for me. I use the power outlet for wringing out clothes with our spin dryer and Brett uses it in the evenings to heat our shower water.
Our Goal Zero solar power system is also doing really well here on the ranch and we’ve been using that to run one of our bed heaters at night (we haven’t tried running both yet). The sunshine has done a great job of keeping the battery charged.
We definitely couldn’t get enough solar power to rely on the Goal Zero for everything though. To do that we’d need to invest in another set of solar panels, which I do think we’ll want to do eventually. But for now, this works.
At around 7pm tonight, we were able to get together with my family again. Since the spot by the side of the road worked so well yesterday we decided to go there again. It wasn’t the most comfortable place to hang out but we enjoyed our time together. We got to chat, pray and sing for about an hour and a half before I started going downhill. Once my symptoms started to increase, we said goodbye and I decontaminated. If I bounce back as quickly as I did yesterday we’re going to experiment with taking Ramona again tomorrow. 🙂
By the way, Brett and I made a beautiful PDF of my favorite resources for suffering souls. I created the content and he made it look fancy with his superduper graphic design skills. It’s available for free to my email subscribers. Click here to sign up and receive 5 Resources for the Suffering Soul.

June 27, 2017 at 11:25 pmHey Ana, I’m happy for you that it was a good day! Thanks for keeping your readers posted on what’s going on. I’m encouraged just by reading your posts, but I imagine those with Lyme disease or with mold issues are finding this even more encouraging and helpful. Praying for you, Brett, and your family today!

June 28, 2017 at 12:40 pmAna – I just found your blog and I am truly amazed by how much you and Brett have been through, and still praise God. Though our faith is tested in other ways, you and your husband have been so faithful in the Christian life over these last few years, and boldly live your conviction even when it’s hard. I am sure that it must have been difficult feeling God was near through your harder and more painful seasons, but your trust in him and your positivity is very inspiring, and a true testament to the work he is doing in your heart! You and Brett are in my prayers. Thank you for speaking out.
June 28, 2017 at 1:06 pmAna, do you do anything to detract mosquitos, bugs, and ticks? If so, what do you use? Hoping Ramona can stay with you!
