Day 68 | Setting up the Shower

May 16, 2017

Today we built the shower for our van! First we drilled some anchor pieces in and then we cut and assembled metal pipes to make a curtain rod.

Now all we had to do was put up the shower curtain and place a big plastic tub underneath to catch the water. We didn’t want any running water in our van of course, since that would be a risk for leaks. So we’re just using Arrowhead water bottles which work great. It’s not your typical shower but it is so much better than showering outside in the cold wind. We love it!

I send out a weekly digest with updates about our adventures. To receive these updates click here.

Nice! This is a lot like the “shower tent” we use all the time when camping, only easier to clean out, and you don’t have to set it up every time 🙂

Ana, you are an inspiration to me….praise the good Lord for your renewed strength, vitality and continued HEALING…”here on earth as in heaven”. So look forward to reading your updates!…and humbled by your perseverance in spite of the difficulties. Go Girl, you’ve got this!…[as the young folks say]. {Phil. 4:13} Your van is lovely!

I notice in your last pic there’s a curtain of some sort dividing the front and back of your van. Can you share about this? Purpose, what it’s made of, …? Thanks Ana!!
